What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

I bought this a few weeks ago s/h in Freebird Records Dublin. I don't know how I have missed out owning some of the albums these songs are taken from, there really is some excellent material on this.

That's the beauty of a record shop, I would never have nabbed this on Aamazon.

Thanks, excellent disc; but

if must Bach, rather this:

Around 12th min; piano never delivers this way; there  no capability.

After a long hunting for Goldberg-variations I realized that I respect but  not fan of J.S. Bach...

Taste this CD; you will forget Bach.

Three types of clavichords; one of them a brilliant 'lautenwerk'.

John Hopkins

A present from my dentist, after I told him I enjoyed listening to it while he was extracting more money from me.
