The king of easy lounge bossa.
This original 1st pressing sounds great.

First spin. Although it does not say so on the cover, this is actually a collection of laments and music of associated mood. Mingardo's true alto voice is perfectly suited for this music. Thanks to Chords for the recommendation, this is hugely impressive.
The recording is excellent but close up. Listening at higher volume, I swear I heard a trace of distortion on my 802s!

An outstanding white Alpha.
Music came from Flandres; has enormous influance from Italian/French tunes.
Used a strange instrument 'friction drum' what delivers a real hifi pleasure of fine sub region; as a light but ultra-low shadow/down-harmonics of the normal bass line.

Anne Sofie von Otter still has a beautiful voice, in fact, on this disc (2012) she sounds better than she has done in ten years. She has found a gentility that serves her well as her power diminishes.
The small-band accompaniment and her co-singers are first class, as well.
Cheers,
EJ

I love this album - it is spending a hugely disproportionate amount of time on my record player at he moment
