What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

I have been following Ms Fraser career for a long time and am looking forward to listen to some new material in 2013 if the gossip turns out to be true. It's been a long wait. Fingers crossed.

Graham you would like this.

Hi Steve, is it hard to get hold of? . By the way managed to get hold of a copy of the John Mayall album " Crusade" that you recommended sometime ago. Hoping it arrives this weekend.

Regards Graham.

Graham,

I know you can buy it on CD but I don't know about vinyl reissues. An original in good condition would be over £100. Enjoy Crusade.

That was one hell of a session!

Not sure what formats you played but still great music.

Blueknowz,

Is that the original German pressing of LA Woman, or did you just happen to pick the one with the black & white photo?

If it's the German, how is the SQ?

Forgot this one again on the Black stuff!

Sergei Rachmaninov:  Nikolai Lugansky (Piano)

Sonata for Piano no 1 in D minor, Op. 28

Sonata for Piano no 2 in B flat minor, Op. 36

Two very monumental piano works played by a monumental pianist.  Another fantastic recording.
