What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

I just noticed that this has been released on 45rpm vinyl so I thought I'd give it a spin. A classic Chicago Blues album. One of the best.

Yep. My son is going to the US in March and my daughter in April. Two great opportunities to get some vinyl from the US. I'm hoping Bob Dylan 'Blonde On Blonde' MOFI 45rpm will be released before they go. $78 in US, £99 here. Ludicrous.

Couple of things to get me fired up before I go off to do some work.

First, this, on Classic Records 200g vinyl

Posted on: 23 February 2013 by Kevin-W

Then this - "Funk 45s" - a set of10 rare and classic 7" singles in a box, reproduced with their original sleeves and labels. Hardly audiophile (a couple sound terrible), but definitely funky...
