Perhaps the first live album?

Even if it's not, it's utterly wonderful.

The Who Live at Leeds.

Brian Wilson Live at the Roxy.

Honestly. I can't think of anything remotely close to Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl.   It must be only 25 to 30 minutes of music but man.....

Dylan at Budokan

just kidding

I should also give an honorable mention to the least 'live' of all live albums....Live at Pompeii. The concept of playing live to an audience of nobody, surrounded by ancient ruins is the very antithesis of arena rock. Even though it takes place in an actual arena.

It has to be this one - live at Detroit's Grande Ballroom over two nights, Devil's Night and Halloween 1968.

Brothers and sisters , I wanna see a sea of hands out there... I want everybody to kick up some noise , I wanna hear some revolution... Brothers and sisters , the time has come for each and every one of you to decide whether you are going to be the problem or you are going to be the solution! You must choose , brothers , you must choose. It takes five seconds , five seconds of decision , five seconds to realize your purpose here on the planet. It takes five seconds to realize that its time to move , it's time to get down with it. Brothers , it's time to testify. And I want to know - are you ready to testify ? Are you ready !! I give you a testimonial. THE MC5 !!

This really captures the wonderful ambiance & atmosphere of a smokey jazz club along with the amazing presence of Sinatra playing with Count Basie's orchestra.

Excellent!

Albert Lee's guitar on this album is amazing ... not a big fan of live records, but this is an exception.

The rag doll cover is the 1st press. Worth a few bob in good nick.

Mustn't forget this one:

OK - since no one has it 100% right yet, I'll give the answer key on this...

Actually there are even more - I love the energy of a good live session over the "perfection" of studio recording.  Especially contrasted with so many "artists" today who rely on computers and auto-tune, and can't even really tour their own stuff live.

How could I forget this one? This is full of atmosphere.
