Neil's Live Rust has been a firm favourite for decades (On vinyl)

 

 

Then the last couple of years i have enjoyed

Osprey you are right, the record below is rather good. But I am not sure Mr Sinclair was quite as polite as you indicate in his speech. Didn't he refer to us as something other than brothers and sisters?

It has to be this one - live at Detroit's Grande Ballroom over two nights, Devil's Night and Halloween 1968.

This too is one of my favorite live albums, and I'd have loved to have been in the audience. (Alas I'm far too young.)  Great choice!

 

With no basis for knowing either way, I've always imagined the venue as rather large, as opposed to the 'smoky jazz club'.  Today L.V. venues to support popular artists are pretty big, but back then, maybe not!
