HDX advice

Posted by: dimosko on 13 January 2013

Hi to all.

I have an HDX that i use only like a server for the NDS-555PS with a DC1 digital cable.

Is it normal that the HDX analog outputs (RCA and DIN) work anyway? is there a way to disable them?

Thank, Massimo

No Massimo, you can't disable the analogue output, but you can select only one of them (din?) with the slider on the rear.

Some would ask why you're connecting the HDX to the NDS with a DC1 (I know... you're using the DAC in the NDS).  Perceived wisdom and golden ears would tell you to ditch the digital interconnect and use the HDX's UPnP server instead... i.e. use your network as the connection... i.e. connect both HDX and NDS to a network switch and/or router.

"et voila" as they say in Salisbury (I think)
