This is some of the collection of one of our more, er, well-heeled customers.:
One-off Alfa.
Amazing .... it looks like a cross between a hammerhead shark and a Salvador Dali creation. Would love to see a side profile of it.
Amazing for me too.I'm going to see Alfa Romeo's Historic Museum in Milan,if it's open...If yes,I'll post some pics on here for sure.
Seems to be the last one by Zagato to celebrate Alfa's 100 years.

That pic provides a very striking contrast of how the 911 has evolved over the years. Don't know about "fat" though. The new model looks like it's been doing serious work in the gym and taking steroids. I suspect the old 911 is more fun to drive but I know which one I'd want to be in in the event of a serious crash.

Just love the big fat ar**
I had a 106XSi from 1992 to 1994 I think it was - one of the best cars I ever had.
The best of the others were:
1. 1999 Caterham 7 with Vauxhall 1.6 carb'd engine (100bhp) in which I did the 2000 Caterham Academy - buy the kit and you get entry to 8 events (I had 6 sprints/hillclimbs and two races, one Cadwell Park and one Brands Hatch). (nearly) bult it myself (needed some help - mechaniching is not my thing. Most memorable trip was driving to Exeter on a bank holiday Friday from Preston. 8.5 hours with no roof in torrential rain with no heater as the trailer was broken at the time - wife following in my company car. After that I never worried about driving it in the rain with no roof (not that it had stopped me before - never driven with the roof up)
2. 2000 Caterham 7 Superlight with Rover 1.6k, throttle bodies (160bhp) and most definitely the finest car I have ever had. Sold to pay for house (to keep debt down) since when interest rates have collapsed and the car would not have depreciated a penny. Rats. In 2006 I went to Le Mans 24hr race and had enormous fun on French roads in it (left family at home). Never ever drove this with the roof up (I probably wouldn't have been able to get in so I didn't bother trying)
3. 1991 Mazda MX5 - great fun, with a volcano for a heater which meant you could have the rear screen (which unzipped) and side windows down in winter when it was raining
4. 1971 VW 1300 Beetle - my first car and great fun, owned for 10 years and went to make space for 1998 Lotus Elise (my wife said we couldn't have four cars at one time, spoilsport) - sold to my brother in law. Had the original steel sliding sunroof and highback seats in the front, plus working heater. If the headwind was strong going over the M62 to Manchester was a bit sluggish though... Had the opportunity to buy it back from bro in law about 5 years ago but resisted cos it would have swallowed about 5 or 6k (at least) to make it nice again
Most disappointing car - the Lotus Elise - the most overrated of all cars ever (for me anyway). Really wish I had just bought a Caterham superlight in 1998 instead and skipped the Elise. Never really enjoyed the Elise - much less fun than the 7 and no more practical - when I got it, the heater fan had ben wired the wrong way so it sucked rather than blew: not so good for clearing the windscreen. The worse thing, though, was driving at night when headlights of oncoming cars reflected in the rear screen so you thought that someone was about to rear end you at very high speed - not what you would call relaxing. It was stupidly designed in a couple of ways like that and sounded like a hairdryer - might have been better with a sports exhaust
This isn't quite a question that anyone has asked but I have thought for some time that, money no object, the car I would choose to drive through the streets of Monaco would be a 1971 VW Beetle Convertible. Very cool
There was one of these parked outside my office in Vancouver this morning. Nice.
