Nice surprises

Just rummaging through some old free CDs from the Sunday papers and found Jean Michel Jarre Oxygene remaster as a free cd.

Remastered in 2007 as 96/24 and on the CD its 44.1/16 but it does sound really good, and it was a freebie in a magazine.

Ripped the CD to FLAC. Anyone else found the odd gem recently by chance?

It was given to me a little while back. Ripped it, played it, got bored. But glad to have it. I'd rather listen to Anthony Phillip's 1984, which is plinky plonky, dated, but somehow sounds like musicians, not algorithms.

Dan, what you have, I suspect, is the 2007 re-recording, not re-master. None the worse for that - it sounds very good and almost identical to the original.
