ND5 XS, UnitiLite and USB attached SSD

Hello,

I' m new to the forum and I would appreciate any feedback / experience on SSD drives attached to ND5 XS or Uniti Lite/Qute via USB plug.

Do the ND5 XS or Uniti Lite/Qute provide enough electric current for modern external SSD drives, for instance for Samsung 840 Pro 256 or 512 GB ?

I understand USB attached devices can only be navigated through their directory structure but are there any obvious advantages / disadvantages between navigating a USB attached device by folder and navigating a NAS database by folder in particular via n-stream ?

I'm not an expert but I think you need for driving a SSD in an external box a Y-USB type connector (2 ports mapped to one that goes in SSD).

Not sure if this works for Naim...

I can tell that I plugged in a 128GB USB stick and it works with NDS :-)
