Hi Louis-Andre,

Not sure if this  will work in your location but I've just tried it in the UK and it works great.

Go to the RP website and and click on the Listen tab. This has the URLs  for all the available streams. you should be able to see the URL for the 128k AAC stream. If you copy the URL into your favourites on mysqueezebox.com you should be able to listen to RP in great quality.

Why woul aac be higher quality at the same bit rate?

How did you manage that.

My SBT default setting is 128kbps MP3, but sound pretty good.

I followed Bertie's instructions, 128 kbps AAC is definitely better than 128 kbps MP3.

I asked my wife's opinion on the difference. She said "IT'S LOUDER"

I tried putting 320 into the URL but it didn't work and the 320 stream isn't listed on the RP website.

Still the 128AAC stream is pretty good.

I copied the url for the 192 feed from the RP website and put it in iTunes.

Bizzarley as I posted this the 192 feed went all "treblely". Started 128 and it was OK , then re-started 192 and that was OK too.

Thanks.

Now running 128 AAC and 192 MP3.

Only listened to 3 tracks so far, but through my SB Touch the 128 AAC is better than 192 MP3, definitely clearer and more dynamic.

To listen to the 320kbps stream go to shoutcast and search by bitrate and select Radio Paradise (Naim exclusive)

Posted on: 01 February 2013 by BigH47

I can't find a 320KBS stream on Shoutcast.

FWIW I think the 128 AAC shades it from 192 MP3.

I am using it - they may have removed it - but you can try this: Open your online Web Remote page (squeezebox.com) and choose favourites . On the right is the icon of a pencil which shows edit. then a box opens up for you to add a new favourite. Type in the name you want to give it in the first box. Then copy and paste http://72.26.207.67:8014/ into the url box. use the play icon and that should get the stream up and working then from then to access just go to your favourites and click on the name.

BigH,

Here's a copy of my post re topic: Radio paradise @320

On the thread I started re: Internet Radio Streaming (see link below),  cat345    gave a useful tip on obtaining Radio Paradise-Naim exclusive @ 320k. When I type Naim in the search function on the Shoutcast web site it's no longer listed. Fortunately I can still access it through i-Tunes or Real Player. Has it been deliberately blocked?! Onthlam's link still works though. http://72.26.207.67:8014/

Still sounds pretty good @ 128k through my system via i-Touch/nDAC.

320kbps now on my SBT, as Focalist's instructions.

This thread is brilliant. I had no idea streams could be pasted into SBT, let alone know how to do it.

The SBT and the Logitech software are amazing, aren't are

For the price, less than £200, the whole package is very impressive. The only small problem I've found is when it realises a software update is available, I don't have the option to decline the update, it automatically updates, sometimes taking 4 attempts to complete.

Wonderful!  A week ago I could not even stream RP without using their "Firewall" links.  A new modem and these instructions have me up at 320 on the SBT.  Seems to work in iTunes using File > Open Stream.

Thanks all.

Try using "opens with " i-Tunes'  in the file info. if your using a Mac.

Thamks Focalist for the http site and tip! RP never sounded better ( now on 320 kbps!)

while we are at it: do you have the http:// site for AVRO Easy Listening (in 320kbps)????? If so can you please send?

No problem, glad I have finally posted a useful answer! The touch + a good DAC is a amazing vfm bit of kit. And using shoutcast and spotify, plus streaming all ripped CDs on a vortexbox makes for a lot of variety! Radio Paradise in 320kbps is good plus has info on it unlike the 192kbps ogg stream which is also unreliable, the 128kbps aac is better if the 320 not available.
