Naim flight club

Well guys, we have the motorbike thread, and then the car nostalgia.

How about a he thread for all the aircraft  enthusiasts.

I believe we might have the odd helicopter owner, and also have a few pilots on the forum

How about those who just like aircraft.

Can we post some great images of aircraft that are either owned, flown or just admired by forum members.

Looking forward to some great images

On the subject of flight, today is the 55th anniversary of the Munich aircrash. 23 people died, as well as the 8 players, club staff, journos and the flight crew, the later are often forgotten because of the "important" players that were lost. It is remembered in this house because my late father in law worked for BEA , as radio operator on Ambassadors and could have easily been rostered for that flight.

This poor old Catalina is, unusually, left on the Straits of Tiran, on the Saudi side. The story of how it came to be left there fifty years ago is quite interesting.

I've been fortunate to have done quite a bit of flying. This was the most interesting bit of kit I've flown, albeit not in anger.

Dom - yes indeed am now on the E-jet and it's a truly brilliant aircraft and quite beautiful in terms of the purity of thought that's gone into it's design.

I've been a bit rubbish at taking pics from the flight deck so will have a rummage and see what I have got!  Won't be quite as exciting as some of the stuff on here though!
