Debs,
You might be right about the price but i know a few people that placed orders yesterday and another 12 today.
The only thing that has changed is the delivery time/amount of days for despatch.
Stu.
Ordered, many thanks for the info Stu.
Stu,
worth a gamble on a fiver.
we'll have to wait to see & hear what the quality is like,
perhaps there's a good reason for the 5 quid price tag...

if not already said above, this isn't the 180g version and thankfully not John Coltrain! Now that would be a bargain for a JC pukka 180g.
But for a 5iver, so long as it's not an MfP style pressing, it should be VFM. Read down the Amazon reviews.
Edited -- correction - it states 180g (my poor graphics) - apologies. But the true 180g = £17
Well - we can all but wait & see - thanks Stu.
Hi Stu. Just ordered its still @ £5 p&p
Graham.
The sticker shows 180g vinyl.
The sticker shows 180g vinyl.
But the product detailing doesn't - which Is perhaps the pertinent bit.
HL,
Lots of amazon vinyl listings never mention vinyl weight.
There is only one pressing of this set and its 180g as the sticker on the cover says.
At five squid its worth a punt.

As I mentioned on my email Stu, I've heard Not Now Music vinyl is not the best SQ wise. They are a budget label. But as said above it's worth a punt for 5 quid. The only reviews on Amazon are for the CD not vinyl.
Stu - mea culpa - man trying to multi-task!! But I have been caught with similar things before.
For a 5iver, got to be worth a punt -- buys about 1 1/2 pints of p%^ water here. I know which will last the longest!
Worst case, It's a Christmas present in hibernation -- OK, no I wouldn't!

Steve,
Sorry i hadn't seen your mail.
Have been cable dressing.
I know what you are saying man but i have heard some good results from a few budget labels over the last year or two.
One that press vinyl albums that were only put out on short runs in the first place in the late 60s and early 70s in Spain is very good.
They cost lots more than £5 though and the original vinyl was not the best in the first place.
Stu.
Amazon update:
the cheapest price is now £14.98 + £1.26 delivery (from other sellers)

My thanks from me too Stu, ordered a couple of days ago.
Anyone received their copy yet?
Wondering what the SQ is like.

Andy,
I ordered a copy and the next day another copy for a forum friend just incase he didn't get my mail on the subject because he was away from the internet for a few days this week.
I spent half a hour on the phone to amazon last night trying to get the address changed for the second order that wont be despatched until the 11th of Feb?????? They can't change it.
The first order will be despatched on Tuesday next week.
Both are just sitting addressed some where there in the boxes
Its Cheese and Onions.

Direct from Amazon: now £17.99
Has anyone received their £5 Amazon copy yet? I am not convinced it is going to happen. The dispatch date keeps moving!

As far as I'm aware Amazon honour the lowest price at time of order over any subsequent price increases. I ordered R. Thompson's "Electric" Lp @£11.87.Tthe price has subsequently increased to £16.62, but not my original purchase price.
Have received e-mail from Amazon saying that they are having supplier "delivery problems" for the Coltrane £5 180g.
I take it this is a sort of code for "whoops we made a mistake and you will not be getting it" - just like Pschedelic Pill!

It simply means if you want a bargain for a fiver
you may have to be patient and wait a week or three
