Great stuff, super fun. I thought Danny Baker was a brilliant host and even Clarkson came across well.
A great hour of telly and I look forward to tomorrow's episode.
yep! It was wonderfully ramshackled. A bit like DB's London's shows. Hugely enjoyable because, really, it was aimed at me who is probably just a little fetishtistic about bits if 12" plastic too I fear.
Interesting point made by Clarkson and tribute bands, that we shouldn't all be sniffy about them, you wouldn't stop listening to Bach live just because he isn't still with us.
Hi Kevin,
It was better than I expected. However thought the discussions could have been allowed to develop a little more. Also it was not very visual to say they where discussing the most acessablle iconic art of the late 20th century.
Regards Graham.
Singing over Baker and Clarkson is a problem.
Sounds like the perfect solution.
Very enjoyable. Looking forward to the others. I know Clarkson gets a lot of stick on this forum but when he's not playing up to his character (Top Gear etc) he does come across as a guy with a lot of passion, and not afraid to show it. He did a couple of military items a while ago. One was about his father in law who won the VC at Arnhem and another on the raid at St Nazaire. Both were excellent programs. I wonder what hi-fi he owns ?
Anyway, I totally agree with Baker & Street on one thing. Revolver is a better album because of the inclusion of Yellow Submarine, and not in spite of it.

Much better than I expected, even Danny baker came over as ok really.
Got me very nostalgic for my records even though it's a pain sometimes to thumb through to search what you are looking for. We certainly had a different musical experience back in the 60/70's spending time to listen and read the print off the cover.
Great program.
Danny Baker clearly loves his vinyl and brought some real passion to the discussion. All the guests contributed with some interesting insights.
Looking forward to tonights episode.
Dave
+1 - totally agree
The second program was even better due to the three guest interacting well. It's a shame the program could not be longer allowing for more discussion. Anyway looking forward to tonight instalment.

Getting slagged off by some PF's
I missed this thread and started another related one.
Excellent series. I'm loving it.
John.
Hi John.
I really wouldn't worry about it, I responded to the chain saw thread only to realize, that it should have gone in the ' Naimees taking to skies '. Quite frankly I am so confused by now, that maybe I should start a thread under the title ' Grey mist and all fogged off ' !? ATB Peter

They would slag off iron production waste.
