Dion "Tank Full of Blues"

Posted by: Mike-B on 06 February 2013

If you like blues in the 1960's british blues boom style (Peter Green, John Mayall etc),  this is a must hear disc. Earthy old stuff & some of his own material;  devils on crossroads, bad whiskey & mean women. Its an easy listen compared to some in this genre that can be hard work sometimes.

This is easy on the ear & mind all the way & well able to play in all company.  The last track Bronx Poem is his own work & a thought provoking religious bent on the street/drugs/crime scene of the Bronx

Dion Dimmuci has been around for more years than he looks, he was invited - but declined - a seat on the flight with Buddy Holley.

Hi Mike-B,

I posted something similar on this album in Jan in the 'What are you listening to thread'. I agree it is a very good album. These two are also worth a listen, both in the same vain.
