New Firmware?

Posted by: Goon525 on 07 February 2013

I dimly remember there was meant to be a major release of new firmware for the streaming products around Christmas, then it was to be very early in the New Year. Now we're well into February, anyone know if and when it's coming?

Allow me...March 2015!!!!

I'm sure it will be worth the wait & wait & wait.

Essentially I'm no use what so ever, suffice to say it's anyones guess.

Any idea about the new features of this major update ?

If it could remove the "up to 320kbit/s" limit for WMA it would be for me the greatest possible improvement !

None of the (firmware or product) updates have arrived on schedule.

It's quite sad to be honest... Making us wait & wait & wait and finally providing a watered down (or insignificant) update seems to be the trend here.

This is a good example of why Naim not telling us what is coming is probably the best approach.

Many of us would like to see some form of roadmap to help us plan our purchases but we should not then complain if something is delayed imho. Circumstances and situations could change all too easily. Best laid plans and all that….

We have two of their streaming products and they are both working very well and sound excellent. Both have received free of charge updated firmware since they were purchased. Whilst I am grateful for these updates I am not sure it is something we can reasonably expect unless a fault is discovered.
