streamer update to 3.17 problems

Well, ok it was at least 25 times... Restarted the superuniti once, after that it needed only 5 times...

3.18... Well at least i know how to upgrade then.

what would 3.18 brung us then?

Assuming all streamers have the same update versions then 3.18 is already out as that is what came preloaded in my Unitilite. I am not sure what it does that 3.16 in my SU doesn’t do.  Does anybody know?

Perhaps it will leap-frog to 3.19 or 3.20. We went from 3.13 to 3.16 didn't we ?

About four weeks ago I asked what the difference between versions 3.17 and 3.18 were. Rather belatedly I have just realised that 3.18 allows you to scroll through tracks that are playing.  My excuse for not noticing this earlier is that I normally just use the remote control on the UnitiLite and keep the iPad downstairs.

I just tried to update my NDX firmware from 3.06 to 3.17. I have bought two different USB to RS232 cables. The one with FTDI chispet finally worked. Now the update persistently stops after the successful ARM firmware upgrade with the error message: Cannot get DSP into programming mode. Contact customer support.......

It is the year 2013, RS232 is dead since at least a decade, Linn offers upgrades over internet which work with no hassle. Is anyone interested in some Naim boxes (2x135, 282, NDX, Supercap)? Let me know, it will be on ebay tomorrow. 

282 and NDX are gone.  let's see if NDS is upgradeable to v3.21 once we get hold of it.
