Got to say that the quality is great, although not all the music is to my taste.
The Peter Gabriel is fantastic.

+1 - great sound can't make up for uninvolving music
Just got both Dark Side and Wish you Were Here immersion box sets. Both include a 24/96version of the original master Only issue is they come on BluRay audio disks so having some fun ripping to FLAC.
Dark Side really does sound good @ 24/96. Hope WYWH is as good.

Ah ok - thanks. Didn't realise it was a remix too. The original sounds rather fine so I'll stick with that.
I now tread with caution buying Hi Res downloads from HD Tracks or anywhere else. I have had mixed results, and clearly sometimes redbook sounds better. (Some Girls is an example; I'm very disappointed with the HD Tracks version; sounds thin.)
I seem to do a lot better with MFSL gold cd releases in redbook format. I can usually count on them for good (re)mastering.
Now the Beatles' remasters on their 24/96 release DO sound fabulous.

A couple of Antonio Forcione and Huey and the New Yorkers. Pretty good
The Koln Concert. HDTracks. Very nice.
DVDAudio Extractor seems to be the popular choice. Can anyone confirm whether dvdae.com is the correct and safe source (hope I'm not breaking forum rules?)? Also, is it free? It appears to have a free trial but license fee thereafter.

You bought it as High Res ?
No . Had some credit on Amazon and got it free. Not sure about resolution but sounds highly compressed. Not cd/hd quality but excellent music. Highly recommended. Will definitely get a hard copy!

How does it sound?
I have the RVG Edition CD and it sounds quite bad (like most RVG Edition).
It makes some unpleasant listening. Out of curiosity, I bought the APO SACD. It does sound better, but mot that much. It is at least not unpleasant to listen
Steven Wilson's The Raven that refused to Sing and other stories. 24/96 FLAC for £7.50 from BurningShed. Something that a lot of people thought was possible - downloads cheaper than CD. The fact that it is High Res makes it a real bargain.
Sorry for apparent double post but wanted browsers in different rooms to see this one.
The 24/96 version of Mark Knopflers Privateering was £22 on Highresaudio. I'll stick with standard Redbook for that price. £8 from Amazon.
Dark Knight Rises 192/24 version, $17.99 on HDTracks. Privateering was £20 as 24/96 from Linn site.
Just previewed Steve Wilson on iTunes. I'll order the Flac download when I've fired up my computer.
