Fault 28 Bridgeco Boot Failure ;-( need your help

Posted by: Adler on 16 February 2013

Hi, now it's happen and my fear in running/hearing music with a device based on software becomes reality. I've powered on my uniti and the device comes up with " Fault 28 Bridgeco Boot Failure " . Not pretty sure what execatly the status of FW is but I know it's the latest. Until this morning, everything works fine and the box runs without any issue. So no complaint so far. I've read a couple of forums in a rush but couldn't find a solution to solve it by my own. Only, send back to servcie.  There is nothing connected to the device besides wired ethernet (no USB stick). Any hints and tipps to fixed it by my own ? I appreciate every recommentations. Thanks in advance from a music maniac.

Hi Adler,

that fault would seem to relate to the network card within the unit... broken.

I've come across this last year for a friend and the unit was replaced.

Others on the forum have had to send the unit back for repair...

I'm sure you have already contacted your dealer about this.

Best regards

Stefano

Thanks Stefano, thanks Gill,

so far I've not contacted my dealer and will email Steve in advance to get his meaning on this problem. Let's see what comes out ... hopefully nothing which ends in an expensive action.

Is it under warranty?  Hopefully so, then it's just the downtime which is inconvenient!

Everything that I have read on the internet about this problem indicates that it needs to be sent back to the factory. As Minigill says, hopefully it is under warranty.

Good luck and I hope it's a happy ending.
