What was the last meal you had out?

Where? And what did you have?
I'll get the thread going.
Last night we went to Bukowski Grill (a good alternative to Honest, which is too crowded these days), the burger and rib joint in Brixton Market.
Great burgers (mine was cooked very rare, as I requested) and pulled pork rolls, tobacco onions, coleslaw and chips triple-cooked in beef dripping. Lovely.
£68 for four including service and a beer each. Good value.
So come on guys and gals, let's hear where you went...
A nice celebratory Sunday lunch at Chapter One in Locksbottom near Bromley, Kent.
- Roast Figs With Black Leg Ham, Fig Puree, Dandelion Leaf & Honey Dressing;
- Air Hung Sirloin Of Beef Roasted With Braised Red Cabbage, Green Beans, Roast Potatoes & Red Wine Jus;
- Glazed Amaretto Crème Brulée.
And a few very good bottles of red, plus one of fizz. No idea how much it cost (our host was graciously footing the bill) but it was absolutely superb.

Been a few times Kevin,food is a cut above your average,but not cheap. Your host will have a much lighter wallet this morning.

My older son bought me and his mum dinner in Sloans in Glasgow last Saturday. Not only was it superb but such a thrill when a child chooses to be with his mum and dad and obviously enjoys doing so.

Indeed, but they owed me, Mista
Friday 8th - a quick dinner with Denis A and Graham (Quad 33) of this parish at the Bacchus Pub & Kitchen in Hoxton - pork chop with lentils followed by a chocolate lime pudding. Yum!
10th - Sunday lunch at the Casa Portuguesa in Hadlow, Kent. Service and atmosphere were fabulous, but apart from a divine molotof, the food was a bit mediocre.
Last night - after cocktails at the top-floor bar of the National Portrait Gallery (great views, plus they do a mean Old-Fashioned) back to the good old Joy King Lau for soft-shell crab, pork rib, fried wonton, crispy belly pork, duck with lemon, Singapore fried noodles and beef with chilli, plus a decent cab sauv, £91 for three.

I always end up working through the night because I leave everything until just before deadline!
Just got back from taking the old man to his local spoons. Sirlion steak + a pint 7 quid. They call it Steak tuesdays. Its cheaper to eat out than eat in,and no washing up.

Last weekend, a cafe in Lillehamar (Little Hill), I had a bacon and mozzarella pie with salad and a cup of Earl Grey. I also met an English guy from London working behind the counter. He is a writer and moved there for the solitude...and the ladies...and why not?
