My n-stream app has just started playing up, so decided to what I have done before ie delete it and re-install from app store. However my controller is old version iPod touch and I am being told that it requires IOS 4.3. I'm on 4.2.1 and can't upgrade to later version. Any help/advise or am I buggered!

This looks like an interesting problem for computer audio. Things moving on and you're sitting happy on older versions until something goes wrong. Not only do you get the hi-fi box upgrade bug with this hobby, now you also get the software upgrade push when things like control points no longer work with base operating systems. Good job I have kept my CD player.

Did you not have a back up of your ipod?

Even if apple won't allow you to back track to the older version, if you have an older backup then there are apps that can help.

I find it astounding naim don't just have two version 'nstream classic' would solve this issue for many people no doubt.

Can't wait.... I kept my CD player because people come round with CD's. In addition, there didn't seem to be much value for money in trading it in at the when I setup streaming.

Garyi: Thanks. I called Naim customer service as adviced by Manu and they asked the same question.  My answer unfortunately was no! The ipod touch is my sons cast off which I have been using only as a remote controller for the n-stream app so it has not been connected to itunes for any back up Doh!  Naim are however looking into a solution which may involve contacting my dealer for the earlier app.  I suspect this may be a recurring issue with some users?

Spartacus: I have already posted a follow up headed ' Any Bubble UpNP users?' so please check it out cos no one has answered yet and I'm feeling a bit deflated!
