House of Cards

I have just watched the first two episodes of the US version. Great cast and enormous production values etc. and jolly good in its own way but not a patch on the original BBC version. I have a huge respect for Kevin Spacey but he can't compare to Ian Richardson. Have the Americans ever improved on an original BBC production?

I have recently watched the whole series on Netflix. It is very good, excellent production qualities, but I agree not a patch on the original. I don't think the Americans have improved on any BBC productions. I'll also add Hollywood remakes to that and cite the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

It is always a challenge to improve on the original ..
