HDX back up

Can anybody please recommend a NAS device for back up purposes. Does it have to be a nas device or can it be a hard drive for back up?. Apologies if this has been asked previously.

Has to be Nas....I'm using a Western Digital My Book Live which is fine. G

In my system I use an Iomega 12tb NAS drive running in Raid 5 format to hold the music, and also use a number of the small 1tb USB drives to copy the music files and stored off site
