Just tried to order the above via a well-known online retailer, and encountered this...

ITEM UNDER REVIEW

This product is not currently offered by Amazon.co.uk because a customer recently told us that the item he or she received was not as described.

Anyone know what the problem is? Anything to do with the product itself?

Oh thanks - looks like it may not be worth buying from anywhere else then.

I buy most of LPs from my local independent record store. It makes returning poor or scratched vinyl much easier. Not many left though :-(

Rough Trade East have got some in stock, I will pop over there and check before I buy. A bit more expensive but probably worth the savings in hassle.

Perhaps we should applaud Amazon for this? Warped and off-centre records are all too common and the supply chain doesn't need to do DNA tests to spot them.

Ordered mine lanight for from Spin CDs. It was dispatched this morning. Thanks for the heads up.

is this a widespread problem or a few rogue copies ?

Posted on: 21 February 2013 by matt podniesinski

Not sure Ian. Based on the widespread reports of warped and off center  pressings elsewhere i suspect widespread.

This is back on sale on Amazon today so it wasn't off for long. At least I know to keep an eye out for the problem Fingers crossed.

Best of luck. I am sure more were done properly than not.

My copy is beautifully flat, well centered and snap, crackle and pop free...nicely packaged - they did not put the vinyl into the jackets, kept it in the inner sleeves out of the jackets.

No no no......leave the legacy alone.  G

I agree. The O2 show leaves a fitting legacy. Hauling themselves around the arenas and stadiums of the world will only diminish this.

Disc 1 and 2 fine. Disc 3 badly warped. Back it goes :-(.

Received mine yesterday all 3 disc's have a very slight warp on one side. This doesn't  effect the playing so will keep them.

Sound wise a lot better then the CD

Im picking mine up from the post office tonight. Had to reorder from a new supplier as the first one had sold out when I returned it.

Now collected. Disc one spinning now. I agree with Steve J. It's a big improvement over the CD all round but especially on the vocals.
Posted on: 12 March 2013 by Steve J

Actually Ian I think it was Steve C.

Posted on: 12 March 2013 by IanG

Apologies to both Steves !

Posted on: 12 March 2013 by Steve C

No worries Ian.

How flat are your replacements?

Posted on: 12 March 2013 by IanG
A slight wobble on a couple of them but I'm up to side 5 and they are playing fine. These ones are going nowhere. Sounds great
