n-Stream problems

Hi - I'd appreciate some advice.
I have a Naim ND5 XS which I am using with a Synology DS212 NAS, and am experiencing a couple of strange problems with n-Stream on my iPAD. I am using the latest version of the app, and am running teh latest firmware on my ND5.
Problem 1. There are two ways for me to create shortlists - diretly on the NAS (these are fine) or more conveniently on the iPAD app itself. My problem is that a number of playlists I created have been fine for a week or two, then out of the blue when I try to use them, they are completely empty. This happens intermittently, and only with some of the playlists. Any ideas?
Problem 2. I have around 600 CDs on my NAS and the vast majority of these are fine. However a small number of CDs have duplicate track entries displayed on n-Stream for every track, and when I play the album, each track is played twice. These albums were originally OK, and seemed to have inherited the duplicate tracks out of the blue. The albums in question all look fine (with no duplicate tracks) when I view the music folders on my NAS. Any ideas how this could have happened, or how to get rid of the duplicate entries? I have tried re-booting the server to no effect.
