If you just get 'Dusty in Memphis' plus a copy of the 45 rpm 12" redo of 'The Look of Love' on the Classic Records label, you will have the best already cherry picked.

Somewhere I have the original vinyl of Casino Royale (COSO 5005) tucked away.

Have to disagree since there is much treasure in her 15 or so studio albums. Memphis is the best known but I have a slight preference for her 1973 release, "Cameo" produced by Brian Potter and Dennis Lambert. Criminally underrated. Actually the Bacharach produced "The look of love" on the Casino Royale soundtrack has a far superior Dusty vocal to the British produced version which is more commonly played,

I am not familiar with 'Cameo'....but based on your recommendation I most certain WILL!  The Look of Love on the Colgems soundtrack that I have and the 45 rpm version of it (that I no longer have) are almost certainly NOT with the Brit produced vocal insertions. Those are pure magic with Dustys perfect vibrato-less voice, whispered in Franglais type pop with understated, slightly schmaltzy yet totally appropriate instrumentation.

Good luck with cameo. It was reissued on CD 2002 but has long been deleted and second hand copies are very pricey. It may be available on download. All check out the follow up to Memphis, the Gamble and Huff produced " A Brand new me" or "From Dusty with Love" as it was called over her. Arguably her most soulful album.
