King Creosote

Over the last few years I have listened to and purchased a few hundred albums, enjoyed a wealth of previously unheard artists all through recommendations or posts in Music Room......except one, that being King Creosote-Diamond Mine. I have persevered and listened to it countless times in the hope of liking it. I just don't get it. In fact I gave it to my mother in law in the hope that she wouldnt like it too!

Anyway I have just bought tickets to see them perform at The Exeter Phoenix in April as a last ditch attempt to change my views! I so want to like the album!

It's one of those you very much have to be in the mood for. It's also possibly one of those for which it's true to say it's not entirely clear when that might be Personally I enjoy it when I do play it but I also don't play it much.

I pay it when happy but thoughtful - sublime sound especially "Bats in the Attic"

emotions have a lot to do with how we perceive sound and music. i have been told that I only ever play "Starless" by King Crimson when very sad or troubled.
