I haven't tried it, but a key question to ask would be which servers does it support?

What HiFi say that the price starts at £2950, presumably for the 1.5TB model, which is rather a lot to pay for some storage. You could get 1.5TB of SSDs for about £750, which would be absolutely quiet, rather than the "super-silent hard drives" (whatever they are) the Integrita uses. Don't think there's much point in RAID for domestic streaming duties - your data isn't changing much, so a conventional backup is simple, cheap and adequate - better in some ways, since it can be stored physically separate from the master system.

An audiophile-grade sever has the same sonic benefits as an audiophile-grade LP or CD rack.

Or audiophile grade custard.

It's actually custard powder (lossless) transcoded to custard or cus using my patented H2O UPnP server software (it is only available for Apples) - I believe its not butter.

For that price, I think a 252 or a NAP 300 is a better investment.

If you are getting both used, I think you can upgrade both at the same time with £2950.

Or save up for the 555PS.

How bad is your current music server?

Snake oil!!!! That's so funny. They are appealing to audiophile vanity (which I think we all suffer from in varying degrees), and playing on peoples' ignorance of how the technology works.

Winkiincanada - Your comparison with an audiophile CD rack is spot on.

I Like this in their spec

File types:

Including 352.8 kHz/24bit, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, M4A, MP3, MP4, WAV, WMA

As if the server cares! They could have added so many more

File types:

Including 352.8 kHz/24bit, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, M4A, MP3, MP4, WAV, WMA, TXT, DOC, PDF, SWF, EXE, PHP, KEY, JPG, GIF, MOV, WMV, PSD, DAT, BCK etc... ad nauseum...
