Hi guys,
Can anyone advice me on my idea on upgrade ?
At the moment my set is Uniti + NAS QNAP , NAP 200 and NAC 282.
To improve source i am thinking of replacing my Uniti to a NDX plus 2nd hand cd player and copy my cd 's to the NAS.
If i read the review i am getting confused wheter the DAC is a proper improvement.

If you mean the Naim Dac then yes, that would be a significant improvement over the Uniti as a source but it wouldn't link to the NAS so you'd need a mac mini or something similar. If you meant the DAC on the NDX then yes, that too would be a large improvement on the Uniti.

My intention is to copy my cd 's on my NAS and use high quality classical music ( eg via Linn)
So just have a cd5i for the remaining cd's.
Is a mac required ? - doesn't work the same as the networkplayer of the uniti (twonkey is installed on my NAS)

Sorry, the network player on the uniti should work as a source but it would holding back the 282/200 combo. My comment was related to whether the ndx or ndac was an improvement. If you're using an ndx that's fine but if you wanted to use a ndac then there's a need to link your nas drive to the dac , which would need some computer.
