Sonos

Currently I am using a Squeezebox Touch, with my music on a LG NAS.  The Squeezebox media Server is on my laptop, which I have to have on if I wish to play music through the Touch.

I am getting fed up with having to get the laptop up and running when I want to play some music.

I was therefore thinking about the Sono system.  Would that just pull the music off of the NAS without having to have a computer switched on in the system?

Why don't you load the squeezebox server onto the NAS. That's what I did.

Yes, just setup a share on the NAS and set the Sonos to that share and it will find it.

All Sonos requires is an SMB share, no server software necessary.
