I am generally a happy sort of chap who loves a good laugh and I am known for my irreverent sense of humour and quick wit but I have never understood the fascination some people have with laughing at other peoples misfortunes.

I share few of the above charming qualities (being merely cynical & sarcastic) but I wondered at the charm and attraction of the "Ouch! Videos?" thread where some people looked uncomfortable in a boat and then got hurt.
My threshold for cruel pleasures peaks at gassing cats in boxes - or does it? That and self-flagellation.
I didn't watch this latest attempt to channel an internet of crap through the forum - once bittern, always heron.
To be fair, comedy has always featured other's misfortunes - going back to the days of Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy. The 'net is full of crap though...

I watched it and wished I had not. ..Egrets..I've had a few ...but hen again too few to mention.
Why have you posted the same U-Tube link that was first posted only on 16 Feb ??? - see "Driving in Russia"
I'm not sure what your dastardly plan is but copy/pasting www stuff that we've all seen before doesn't really hit the chuckle button quite the same way 2nd or 10th time around

Glad he did. Missed driving in russia thread. Probably thought it was a request for advice.
Always good idea to clearly identify content of thread in heading.

Your plays with words are quite edifying, gentlemen !
Adam, I was near your place lately (unfortunately for a sad family matter) and watching the countryside covered with snow was unexpected and beautiful. I had only been there during summer when I was a child and I almost failed to recognize the place.
I was glad the driving was less hazardous than what was shown in this video... I guess snow is not common down there, even if not that unusual. Driving through the massif central was a memorable experience: thick fog all the way with trucks pouring salt on the motorway and frozen flowering trees on both sides of the road. And a beautiful and sunny weather while driving back, with the snow covering the top of the Puy-de-Dôme shining in the sunset in front of a deep blue sky. Magnificient, and comforting.
I wish you a beautiful spring very soon.

PS: No egrets, we took the time to bite a duck. There, everyone bites the ducks.
Maurice, stop, j'ai le mal du pays.
But I appreciate what you're doing.
