Superuniti

Hi all, my current system is a uniti and nap 200 amp. I am thinking of replacing my uniti with a superuniti. The additional amp made a big difference to my uniti.
My question is about my amp, will using a separate amp make any difference to the quality rather than using the internal amp of the superuniti.  Any thoughts welcome. Andy.

Why would you? Surely the point of a SU is to have a one box solution? SU is rated at 80W and the NAP 200 at 70W.

What is the point in replacing the U with a SU? Upgrading gone mad!! This is like a rugby pass in my opinion - going sideways and backward.

To answer the actual question - no, I don't think it will.

Regards

I went from original Uniti to Superuniti  and am very happy. I did dem the Uniti + Nap 200 but the SU trounced it in every way - not just at high levels. The SU is much more powerful than the original Uniti but the Uniti2 comes closer in power specs - I haven't heard one. If you can live without a CD player the SU is a brilliant upgrade for you IMHO.

The Superuniti is a great beast. There are some people who run a NAP250, either biamping or using just the 250 with the SU amp disabled. I've done both and there are some subtle differences. However, it was a temporary exercise of curiosity for me and I now run the SU on its own, which is kind of the point I guess. If you're looking for improved sound beyond the quality of the SU, then I would guess that you may need to consider a different route than the SU to get there
