JRiver Mac vs JRiver Windows Sound Quality Comparison
Posted by: Iver van de Zand on 26 March 2013
Hey Forummembers,
Though I am not using JRiver myself, I know it is an excellent product with many fans here. Interesting review can be found at: http://www.computeraudiophile....-quality-comparison/
Happy reading,

Quite a labour of love there. Are there similar reviews comparing different players to each other?

I will check Willie. Got it from the Computer Audiophile site which gives me an impression of being very open and neutral to various kinds of gear, music and audiophile software. They review stuff with prejudice and open minded.
No worries I will peruse and see what is around I just wondered if you knew of any already. Thanks for the link

They sound and measure identically according to that article.

Has anyone come across a review of JRiver vs. Audirvana (Plus)? As I understand it JRiver is the leading player for Windows, Audirvana for OSX. With JRiver being ported to OSX it would be interesting to know whether it will top Audirvana as the player of choice? I think we can assume JRiver will be just as good on OSX as it currently is one Windows, hence a former review of the two would be at least indicative.
TIA

Hi Patrick,

Agreed, some of the best non-biased reviews i have ever come across.
I do not have any experience with JRiver for MAC as it was only in the planning stage when i was about to upgrade my source, so PC for me, JRiver was one of the major reasons behind that decision.
JRiver for Windows is truly majestic, nothing i ever heard sounds as good, including Naim streamers.
I bet the MAC version will be just as epic.
