U/S not playing tracks from NAS

I have three folders on my NAS which I've ripped CDs to, but recently the U/S has stopped playing tracks ripped to the most recent, i.e. the one which I currently rip to, saying playback not possible, despite being able to see everything. Has it become corrupted? Any ideas?
