Its always a treat to dust off the old dub vinyl. If you forget to do it for a while it is such a pleasure to come back to.

Mentioned Drum Song by Sound Dimension / Mittoo above so thought it rude not to mention this mix as well.

From a wonderful album currently giving my SBL's a rub-a-dub dub workout:

Always been one of my favourite reggae discs.

I can remember importing Jamaican vinyl back in the heady days of reggae fever. Christ virgin vinyl it was not.

And also love his first album.

A goodie from the early days of dancehall reggae

For all your Floydies. Personally I don't dig it.

Possibly one of the better modern day reggae discs.

Two Glen Brown albums I would highly recommend.  Though not my sphere of music I have to admit as my collection is highly limited.

Herman Chin-Loy, Chinese/Jamaican extraction and the guy who gave Augustus Pablo his name. This is from memory as I used to have a copy but no longer do so. It got sold in one of my 6 monthly clearouts as I have so much stuff.

Another disc I owned that went the way of the Herman Chin-Loy album.

That's an awesome album. It works amazingly well. Gonna dig it out and play it... now!

Used to have this but it got stolen from me awhile back when I was working in the sticks.

Still going on memory of albums I used to own.

Ok it is a bit of rock steady as well as reggae but without him what would have followed? Who knows.

Great album playing now. Love the track Youth about halfway through where those skanky high notes come in - dubtastic:

As a slight departure from the norm also recommend Rhythm and Sound. Some may remember Basic Channel. Certainly not originally known for dub, they put out a few dub records of which these two are examples. You get their production values on it which I really like. Well into Mango Drive on the first album - love that thick production. The second album is all one riddim with guests including Sugar Minott.

Bill Laswell's Version 2 Version: A Dub Transmission is, although not 'classic', brilliant.
