Any experiences with the upgrade of synology DSM 3.2 to 4.2 ?

Hi,
does someone have any experiences with the upgrade of the synology OS from release 3.2 to 4.2 ? I run a Synology DS212 NAS server together with a Superuniti and I would like to know if there are any know issues / problems concerning the new release. It was a lot of hard work to rip all the hundreds of CDs and everything works fine at the moment, so I am really afraid to take any risks with the upgrade...
Would be great to get an independent opinion ;-)
Thanks!
Regards,
Olaf

Hi OHL

i have a Synology 212j running DSM3.2 just to let you know that transcoding hi res flacs does not work on versions above DSM3.2

If it all works fine, is there any reason to update?

Upgraded to DSM 4.2...everything very fine, except that the SLEEP-Mode is not working...

The disks just won´t go into deep sleep...

Any ideas ???

There was an issue with this on DSM 4.1, which was resolved with a patch. I'd have thought that this would have been fixed on DSM 4.2 have a look on Synology forum site, there is lots regarding this issue.

Hmmm... I just checked there for quite some time...

No real solution...even the patches don´t seem to work...

Shame...everything else is perfect...
