George Jones- RIP

George Jones passed away at age 81. The possum was the badboy of country music and influenced many artists in various genres. RIP.

Great performer who lived a full life. Not many left like him. The breadth of country artists is one of the best things about Spotify.

George Jones was country personified. And he had one of the most soulful voices in any kind of music. He may have died, but we won't stop loving him today.

I was driving with Sirius radio on and they did a whole day of his work. Plus a composer who worked on "He Stopped Loving Her Today" and many other recordings. Read 2 articles on him in LA Times. He must have been a tough love, 4 wives, but the guy said Jones was very humble to work with and wanted to get everything right. He had a tone in his voice and a naturalness that every word came true. But he was also known as No Show Jones for most of his career. His 4th wife focused on clearing up many lawsuits and getting back his recordings copyrights and giving him the space to reclaim his career. Quite an education all day on the LA freeways.
