A successful charity shop vinyl foray;
Bette Noir by Bryan Ferry
Reality Effect by The Tourists
The Cure singles Nov82 to Nov83
all in great playing condition but slightly scruffy sleeves for the princely outlay of £3
Anyone else had any great finds recently?
100's! Buy CD's in charity shops regularly.
JJ Cale, John Lee Hooker, Jeanne Michelle Jarre, The Beatles, etc, etc.
Great source of material at bargain prices
Peter Gabriel So £1, it doesn't get much better than that!
Not a charity shop purchase, but I bought King Crimson: In the Wake of Poseidon this week. There was no price tag so the guy in the shop said £10. He put it aside for me and when I returned the next day he told me it should have been £25, but he would stick to our deal.

Oh, and I got a very tidy Venus and Mars for £1 at a record fair last month.
Last time I was in a charity shop I picked up a collection of 6 mint Decca -pressed Lyritas and a few rare CD-Vs, including the much sought-after Kate Bush The Whole Story, all for a £ a pop.
Would not call them great finds! But pleased for a fiver each.

Tommy Hilfiger, Short sleeved shirt, £3.
Michael Hedges! Quite remarkable what turns up sometimes.
Divine 80% chocolate bar from Oxfam.
The two on vinyl with near mint records for 40p !!! Told them to keep the change from the £1.
Walking past the charity shop in Carshalton high st yesterday i noticed they had about a dozen Beatles LPs in one window.most priced around 20 quid.
As i ditched vinyl years ago i just kept walking.

Yes, we have a few of the charity shops in Leigh-on-Sea that seem to have got wise to Vinyl collectors. But you can still get the odd bargain if you're prepared to hunt through the reams of Rick Astley and K-Tel compilations.
Saw this CD for £1 in a charity shop.
I had to get it and I am very happy that I did.
