Internet Radio - UnitiServe
Posted by: Glyn on 06 May 2013
This morning I cannot access my radio presets or any internet radio on my UnitiServe.
I get the message 'There is an internet connection problem and the Vtuner servers cannot be connected to'.
My internet connection appears fine and rebooting the US and by router has not helped - any advice very welcome.
Thanks
Having the same problem myself, I've tried the vtuner web page but the server is not available.
Having same problem but with an HDX.
Internet connection to radio from other devices is ok
Have not made any changes as far as I am aware.
Problem started yesterday.
Any advice appreciated.
Same problem here. The vtuner site is down. Has been all weekend. Seems to always be problems with this streaming internet stuff getting very fed up with it to be honest. I am seriously considering getting shot of all this streaming stuff. Glad I still have my CD player, Turntable, Radio.
Does this mean that the streaming products cannot access Internet radio if vtuner is unavailable? What would happen I've vtuner fell off the perch?
Well at least I now know why my Internet radio is not working - having to listen to Madeline Peyroux on tinny free-view, bottom lip out!
Really strange absolutely no problems here over the last days.
If the company behind vtuner went out of business I would hope Naim would get a warning and time to change internet service provider.
I was going to post about a problem I am having with my HDX but it may be the same problem.
HDX works fine in that it can see the rest of the network and access other devices such as QNAP NAS but when I try to access Internet Radio it says there is no internet connection with the same message.
Strangely, my NDX which is attached to the same switch and then to my router accesses Internet radio no problems.
I have checked the HDX logs and the only odd thing seems to be that at 04.45 every morning I get the message "Engineer - Upgrading Error 7009 - unable to execute backupxml ......"
Could the reason for some devices being able to connect to vTuner & others not, is that they may be using different connection methods and/or are connecting to different servers? The designated Naim vTuner site at naim.vtuner.com (the one where you sign in with the MAC address of your device) appears to have been up while the main vTuner site at www.vtuner.com has been down.
One of the servers that is used for DNS and checking for internet access on the servers appears to have gone down (or at least is no longer responding to pings) - we are aware of this and are trying to get hold of the owners of the DNS server to find out what's happening.
Hopefully normal service will be resumed shortly but we need to find out what's going on...
Cheers
Phil
I'm the same, Internet Radio disappeared from UnitiServe SSD, and n-Serve app on iPad.
Yup - it should be back up now ...
Phil

Not sure if its the same issue but cannot see Internet radio, via iPad app on my HDX.
So no radio paradise!
Peter
This morning I find that I now have Internet radio visible on my HDX! via iPad app, and radio paradise is up and running.
No idea what happened though to cause the black out. An error messaging system would be nice.
Peter
Is this down again?
Unable to access Internet radio this morning.
Mine is OK at the moment! Although buffering is low at 15% on radio paradise.
Peter
As far as we are aware there should be no issues with the vTuner feed that we use on our products at this time ... if you do have any issues then please reboot your unit and if the issue persists then please contact us directly as there are some remote diagnostics that we can do to try to determine the issue.
Cheers
Phil
Odd thing is that iradio is not available on the Unitiserve but fine on the Superuniti.
