who is using a cute into preamp etc - is it good?

cant stretch to £1900 and at the moment I'm using a Sonos connect into 202/200

Is the cute a step forward enough???

Compared to Sonos - absolutely in term of SQ as a streamer fed into pre.

The weakest point on your Connect is the DAC implementation and analogue stage. Try a s/h DAC, thereby using the Connect just as a streamer.
