3D blu ray

Hi all, can anyone recommend a 3d blu ray player
regards
Gary
I can't comment on 3D specifically, but I have a Cambridge 650BD that has served me very well for 3+ years now. Their newer machines are all 3D I believe. Of course, Oppo is great option as well.
Good though the Oppo players are, if all you're wanting is to play BluRays and DVDs and intend to use the player's HDMI output for sound and picture then they're rather OTT.
I recently got a "Free" Panasonic 3D BluRay player from Richer Sounds that came with my new plasma TV. It's got wireless internet connection, you can control it from an iPad, loads very quickly indeed and there's no difference in picture or sound quality between it and my Oppo. Richer Sounds also supplied it modified for multiregion play for DVDs. Less than £100 to you squire!
I'm keeping the Oppo for DVD-A & SACD discs.
Farthings,
The only thing I would add is - have a look at the client software that the player has.
e.g.
My Sony (non 3D) includes iplayer and Lovefilm, both of which I use;
My Oppo (non 3D) is a DLNA client, but doesn't have Lovefilm or directly support iplayer.
Depends if you're interested in getting these extras.
With the Oppo I run Serviio on a PC in the attic, this DLNA server allows me to stream BBC iPlayer content - but it is not as convenient, or as usable, as the Sony app.

I am very impressed with my Panasonic BDT-500. For the money it's beautifully made and has a fantastic picture, both in 2D and 3D. I use it as a complete player so it downmixes to 2-channel into my 282 nd it sounds very fine indeed - very high quality DAC processing in it.
The only caveat is that the remote has a silly touch pad instead of a good ol' 4-way control which can take some getting used to, but other than that the player's magic.
Regards,
Frank.
All opinions are my own and do not reflect the opinion of any organisations I work for, except where this is stated explicitly.
Forgot to mention that stupid Panasonic touch pad Frank!
Thankfully the player works with any Panasonic disc player remote, or using Viera Link, the TV's remote, bit I use the Remote app. On my iPad to control it.
Oppo is the ultimate choice!
Thanks gents, I was looking at the Oppo but reality is its mostly kids films in my household so sounds like one of the cheap brands will suffice. Probably look for samsung to match tv......
thanks for your help
