Hendrix and Morrison bootleg on BBC Radio Four

Posted by: Christopher_M on 18 May 2013

Just trailed on BBC Radio Four, a bootleg tape will be played for the first time in forty years. The tape was found in a box under someone's bed, and will be played on "a Studer".

The programme is Saturday Live and starts at 9am. Web listeners will find it by googling saturday live four though I'm not sure how quickly the material becomes available.

How was it?

Was this an airing of the "Woke Up This Morning and Found Myself Dead" boot which was Jimi and an obviously very refreshed Jimbo in New York?

Sad as this will obviously appear, I enjoyed the brief discussion about the merits of the Studer and the loss of 'craft skills' more.

Agreed! The engineer that was being interviewed (I dont remember his name) did say the Hendrix/Morrison stuff had been released already. They only played a really short bit anyway.
