A bloody wasp nest has appeared above the front door! It's only small, and it's lovely to look at, but it couldn't be in a worse place. Can I just remove it? Legally?

I've just removed one of similar size from the roof of our Lake District place. Felt a bit guilty but I relocated it to a flower bed & the buzzy wasps seem to still be going in and out.

Thanks Tony. I have just removed it, but it fell apart in the process. I feel quite bad about it, but if they'd built it anywhere else I'd have let them bee.
