display off

Hi all,

i would like to achieve all my displays off if possible.

Specially at night i beleive all the green lights are tmo too light and as such to much of a invitation to thiefs.

Can anybody advice.

At the moment my set up is NAP 200 - NAC 282 and NDX ( QNAP NAS 219+ Twonkey UpNp

NAC 282 and NDX are connected so volume etc is arranged via one controller of the NDX.

I would like to prefer that all lights can be switched off.

The display of the NDX can be switched off by the remote control - but how with the NAIM logo.

Other related topic is the slight problem with my i-pad where volume is not working /active.

You cannot turn off the logo on the amplifiers. I'm not sure about the NDX - have a look in the setup menu, if it's like the SuperUniti you will be able to choose when the logo is on or off.

Believe me any thieves will be far more interested in the big black thing surrounding the small green light! I got burgled one evening and all they left were the monoblocks because they were too heavy to shift.

I'd invest in some curtains, deadlocks and switch off your kit if it's a rough area when you are not around (or cover it over with something and leave it all on).

Check out sellers on web. You can buy 3rd party naim logo covers, to hide the bright logo.

( black insulating tape)

At least the thieves have good taste......try black electrical tape. It you trace the naim imprint, it can blend in quite nicely without damaging the unit.
