Not read any posts by him lately, though i admit to not reading every thread. Has he left the forum?
Logged in yesterday afternoon, but his posts are certainly rarer than in the the past.

Just checked his site and he's been busy visiting clients in Canada & the US and then went on to Singapore, so he's had a busy few months by the looks of things.
Be a shame if he quits posting as along with Frank Abela, offers great impartial advise to anyone who needs it.

Yes, I agree. The insight of the insiders is a real asset to the forum. Any potential "conflict" is very well managed by the professionalism of the trade members themselves.

Indeed, such authoritative, straight-talking guys are a great asset to the forum. They command a great deal of respect. They are traders who have high credibility.
Dave Dever is another example.
And there is Chris "Murph" Murphy who is the Naim distributor for New Zealand and now Australia - but he's an extremely busy guy with heaps of new clients in Australia, so he doesn't post a great deal.

He's been very busy as mentioned above. I believe he been at Le Mans this weekend.

It's a hard life!
Has he now started fettling Farraris?
By the way the urban dictionary gives alternative meanings of "to fettle" as "to have sex with" or "to throw up after excessive drinking."
So he could be up to just about anything....

I'm here now and again when time allows ATM..... Check out the Talk Talk album Colour of Spring......... track 3 in particular- You'll get the idea. - It's a great album musically and having a passing interest in Entomology since I was a kid, you also see why I love the cover.......
On a more serious note; Yes I've been very busy lately, looking after clients and working on a few projects this has limited my time available for participation here. Indeed, I've only just returned home after re-installing a 552PS after it's DR upgrade and also a Supercap in Cambridge this evening.
Yes Rakkit is right, I was in the USA and Canada last month and actually I was in Dubai and Hong Kong during March. I haven't been to Singapore this year yet, as this will be in about five to six week's time, so I guess Rakkit saw an earlier trip report.
It all sounds great I'm sure, but it does mean there's a huge amount of catch-up when I return. Looking after clients visiting me in Leicester and travelling about the UK installing etc.... These are really the main reasons why my contributions have been curtailed recently.
I do take on board the comments made and I'm sorry that from what I read from the posts above that Frank has decided to take a back seat for a while. I for one, hope he's back soon.
In the mean time if I can be of help and assistance on threads I'll do my best.

Thankfully Frank seems to be back. He's posted a few times over the last few days.
Excellent!
And just to say, I'll be about if my input is useful.......

Always interesting and always useful Peter - even to skint types like me who can't afford to update their LP12s or amps..

If only Tony....... - I've only managed to take my Sunbeam out once this year for a proper run.........

Mmm, I think you guys will have to work out that one for yourselves............... However the Porsche 956 rear suspension was creating great interest as you can see from the picture above - I think I took a picture......... I can have a look for it if you like

Without appearing too nerdy there are more people looking at the 917 rear suspension.
Did it take much to get the Sunbeam back up and running, Peter?
Thanks big H, I really only started going when the 962s were running and being a bit of a Jag fan never really looked at the early Porsches until now
No, not long at all, the Sunbeam is actually very good, so a charge on the battery and then I cranked over the engine for a minute or so without the fuel pumps running just to circulate a bit of oil up to the top of the engine and then introduced the fuel and she kicked up pretty much straight away
In fairness, she'd just had a service and MOT prior to the lay up and the garage is very dry. I never park her up with the handbrake on of course. I learn't not to do that long, long ago...........

I was really wondering how much you had to do after fire, I know it was probably a while ago now.
The answer BigH was I just didn't have time myself as I've often been working more than six days a week for the last few years and so I had her trailered to Paul Matty Sportscars in Bromsgrove. The pipework, electricals and anything plastic had to be replaced. The rest was really very good considering as I'd been able to get the fire out within a minute I guess.
So in fact she's going very well ATM and it's more about me finding the opportunities to drive her!
