do we really want smilies and all these type of graemlins?

because I am about to turn them off if I can.

Keep them!

They're a bit of fun for those who use them.

Some new ones would be appreciated, though.

"search engine is on the menu" - well I can't see it - perhaps I'm going blind

Correction: WAS on the menu (now they've been eaten!).

I'm for the little gremlins.

Best wishes,

Ive seen many posts that could esily be taken the wrong way without. They help the communication process that can so easily be taken too literally at times. Possibly expand them?

The old Graemlins are not displaying again - just the new ones
Are Naim still fiddling - you had it all working a few hours ago on the old threads - now it is not, only the new Graemlins work - poor older Graemlins

Hello,

Thats not very nice Phil, especially as you don't know me, or do you? In which case you might be right.

Thank you John.

Roger, as you were... At the time of posting (after a few glasses) I considered my comment to be the height of wit and satire, in the cold light of day, and misconstrued a few times, now, not so sure....

Smilies can go so long as we get an irony button

No problem Phil, I took it as a joke.

I was in college when the smiley came out, everybody was doing it, and then a big back lash.  Now the resurgence and so many variations on just the keyboard. Sometimes it's good to show that a comment was in jest, other times it's painfully over used.  Not that my opinion matters

They do no harm; use them if you want, don't if you don't want to.
