I hate the new forum

Like most new software products, this one is long on style and short on functionality.

A step backwards.

Fools and Bairns should not see half-done work' is what I was taught.

It's only an audio forum after all.

I can't get the search to work at all.

There's a Search?

Frank.
All opinions are my own and do not reflect the opinion of any organisations I work for, except where this is stated explicitly.

Good one Graeme, a healthy sense of perspective.

Perspective...

It will all make sense when we get the 3d glasses too!

I quite like it. A few niggles still to be ironed out of course.

YES - there is a box that says "Refine List".  I assume that "Refine List" is some sort of futuristic way of saying "Search".  In any case it doesn't matter because it doesn't ever return anything.

I like the clean look but the header has 'senior status' which doesn't say much and it's bigger than the name. I'd like to see  years of membership. Middle or right could be location and other info. I have no clue as to country which important to me tho many didn't fill that out or were cagy.

I expect, as any project, that the kinks get worked out. Those who haven't worked on big projects don't understand. I'm all for the changes and potential is huge.  I took many classes in computer graphics years ago it was mind boggling to do a simple project.  I think the whole website is a great advancement as Naim has grown it's product line.

its not too bad, maybe a place for constructive feedback would be a start, also an app for my iphone, when i am board in a meeting etc

"its not too bad, maybe a place for constructive feedback would be a start, also an app for my iphone, when i am board in a meeting etc "

The quote system, for what it's worth at the moment, didn't work on this.

Naim, when are you going to realise that better communication is required? No point in burying replies, if they actually happen, so they're lost the next day. This is in danger of going seriously wrong in case you haven't noticed. You need to give your technical support people a serious kick up the arse.

We created a forum feedback topic in Hifi corner day one, good place to have all the comments. iPhone app on it's way very soon.No-one is burying any posts.

Obviously no-one thought to try it out on a mobile phone.

reply, scroll, scroll, scroll, reply, scroll, scroll, scroll, reply...........arrrgh!

Having said that it's not much better on a full size screen. I find it very difficult to read, possibly due to the loss of contrast on the dark background replies. May have surpassed Lotus Notes as my least favourite application!
