Aqualisa Digital Showers

Posted by: Mike-B on 24 January 2011

Digital records,  digital TV, digital radio (yuk)    now we have digital water
Yes folks Aqualisa have a shower system that uses digital water.

Now lets get serious; Aqualisa showers have a mixing/flow/temp pump/controller that's controlled "digitally"
They come in various guises,  but all have a one or other versions of the user controls that has switches, potentiometers & lights to set & vary the users water preferences.
They tick a number of boxes, very easy install, mount anywhere user controls, link to extractor fan control, remote "on" switch, 2 shower head diverter valve.

My question is - has anyone tried one
I am about to start on the Big Bathroom Bash & its nearing make yr mind up time
Do I go for something new like this, or the old tried & tested mechanical / thermo controls

Aqualisa make various models and they are very good, you could also consider the Mira and Grohe equivalents

Mira,Grohe or Aqualisia

mech or thermo, tried and tested and equally the mutts nuts.

Digital,  Why complicate things ( cannot attach wink or smiley on iPod touch)

Basically one main advantage is that the installer saves half a day when fitting, on the Aqaulisa exposed you run all fixtures throught the exposed centre tube, so no chopping the wall out! another good reason they have fancy coloured lights

The digital shower has only been out for approx two years, ask around for people that have them fitted already and don`t be swayed by fancy lighting. Ask at a merchants if they have had any back and if so how many

Have been using Aqalisa shower for a few years now.

It was easy to instal, and has been very reliable. Thinking of fitting another in the main bathroom.

I went for  the optional  remote unit which allows me to turn it on from the bedroom, so that the temperature has stabilised to the preset by the time that I step in (about 8 - 10 seconds).
