Anybody else noticed it has gone live?

Hit the Get our iPhone App! link in the top left corner of the page.

And it's FREE!!!

Just downloading it now, testing will commence forthwith!

Don't get your hopes up on the usability though, can't find a way to 1. Edit the post. 2. Attach a picture. And the screen doesn't rotate when you want to type. And we are only the 2nd Hoop.la forum with an iPhone app. The first is their test forum. We are beta, correction, alpha testing here! :-( John

Is it just me seeing no pics? Nice photos looks interesting from here.

And my last response was typed on the iPhone, and had carriage returns in it.

Which have gone AWOL.

FFS!!!!

Yikes, more untested stuff not ready for launch.

Hope Social Strada is paying Naim some commission for supplying free resources for alpha testing.

Can somebody please explain how to find it? It doesn't show in the iPhone app search and I can't find it in iTunes.

I've deleted it from my iPad, might be ok on an iPhone.

Go right to the top of this page, at the left hand side, on the same line as your logon name, and above the Naim logo.

That will link you to your iTunes, from there down load it.

Or search for Naim forum in the iTunes store. You need to be at the Store home page.

Not sure if the screenshots in the iTunes store were proofread. I suspect not. Fourth one in particular.

And whereas there is a More... button in the bottom right of all the screenshots, that has been replaced by a Powered by Hoop.La button. I 'd prefer the former option.

They are done on a US network (AT&T) rather than a UK one though.

We got a 12+ rating though!

Thanks I finally found it through the iPhone app search but not before I'd completely fecked up all my folders just by syncing. I fecking hate iTunes with a passion.

It is really slow.

Can't go to the last reply.

Can't use vertical rotation for more convenience.

But, really nice appearance.
Posted on: 05 February 2011 by Aleg
CHP At the right top there is button with a wheel which allows you to navigate through the thread. The readability is sufficient for me not to need screen rotation. - aleg
Posted on: 06 February 2011 by Aleg
Only the navigation doesn't work No editing option, no quoting or selecting text ( - aleg

Thanks Aleg. Not bad at all with the wheel... You are right. Quote and uploads are missing. Christophe

I can't find a way to turn off the automatic email notifications when posting via the app

Looks nice. OK for a quick "fix" when we just can't stand not to read the forum for brief periods away from our computers. But limited functionality, just like the new Forum.

On my iPhone the replies often only contain a quote but not the posting persons remarks and other such anomalies.  David Dever's responses are always blank.  Is it a filter setting or a perfect mirror?

I find the app works very well for the iphone, a quick read.
Posted on: 04 March 2011 by TomK
I think it's a good start but there are some obvious problems. Complete posts are missing, can't reply with quote, posts including quotes are often garbled or hard to read, etc.

Not quick enough yet. Quicker to browse in Safari on the iPhone. Text size also needs to be zoomable, which is basic really and the app needs to work landscape too. Also, it strikes me as foolish that I can view my profile but not edit it. Apart from that, what they said...

Iphone forum app.

-Multiple copies of 'Featured Topics' being shown ,
-some posts missing cotent ,
-quoted text  merged into texts with no differentiation.

could be better I'm afraid....

The forum appears to work fine of iOS 4.3 is you want to bypass the app.
