Pull Those Plugs Folks

Anyone seen or heard Thunderclap Newman yet?
I'm planning to disconnect my router and phone-line as well as the system tomorrow.
Careful with those DACs Eugene.

Quality.
Yes indeed; a lovely shot Tony.
A chap I know who lives in rural Suffolk, had a lightning strike travel up the earth (and thus The Earth too) which fried his 500.
In the words of Michael Jackson (Gawd rest his soul) - "Aooww".
John.
Just how likely is it that lightning will zap home electronics?
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most likely.

Fortunately the chances of Naim kit being damaged in a local lightning strike are slim, with a greater chance in a rural area. Case fuses DO NOT protect equipment because damaging high voltage can travel up the earth.
It's just common sense to play safe during storm activity and follow Naim's pertinent advice which is contained in every manual.

A couple of years ago I got hit by a ground strike (not me personally, my house ).
It fried my router, a tv, a digibox and two AV amps. Luckily my hifi was unaffected.
Now I disconnect at the first sight of a storm!
Thanks Mike,
A nice bottle of the red stuff is always a guaranteed Hi-Fi upgrade.
